My name is Darren McCullough. I enjoy creating stone structures in the great outdoors of Vermont. Growing up in Tunbridge and Chelsea, Vermont, I spent my childhood in the woods exploring miles of stone walls and forgotten cellar holes. I often wondered who built them and began to take notice of why some fell to ruin while others stood straight and true.
In my twenties, I worked extensively with antiques learning all periods of design in American furniture. Using that design sense and creativity, I started working with the wide varieties of local stone to create custom-designed outdoor spaces. Over the years I developed a distinctive style that reflects classic & authentic New England stonework. I combine this aesthetic sense and method of building with the knowledge of our harsh Vermont winter environment to build to last.
